They literally think it’s a social no-no so this is the sort of subtle thing they’ll do to get your attention. Let’s say you’re in a bar or club that isn’t absolutely jam packed and there’s a girl right next to you, then ask yourself why that is.

If she avoids prolonged eye contact, especially if she was looking at you first, then that is a pretty good sign that she is interested in you. Try making eye contact with her and see how she reacts. Once you catch her eyes, if she doesn’t look away, she will probably smile in your direction. Even if she doesn’t come over to you and goes to her friends instead, the fact she’s checking to see if you’re there is a very good sign, as it means you’ve been on her mind.

We don't talk that much, but when we do she seem genuine. Yet i don't know like every time that i am talking in class she turns and listens while i talk, but once i catch her eye she just turns away.

We did talk at school to because we had all the same classes and one time we locked eyes for a long while then she turned away. Another time and a party the song single ladies came on when I was by her and her friends were pushing her telling her she needs to dance because she is a single lady. I really like her and I don’t know what to do because I want her to like me.

Of course, we don’t mean she has to laugh at every single conversation the two of you have. There should always be room for more serious, straightforward conversations, too.

• – If she’s shy, she’ll want to stay in the conversation and prolong the time you have together, but she may not seem that enthusiastic.
• If you can learn to read the signs she likes you, you can take the fear of rejection totally out of the picture.
• It’s most likely because she’s spoken to them about you at length.

If you are having an intense conversation, a girl may look at you without breaking eye contact. This does not necessarily mean she likes you.

It’s a good sign, but not conclusive on its own. It might just be the way she does with everyone she likes, romantic AND platonic. You could try asking her if she’s ever been attracted to a girl. It’s a harmless question if she’s straight.

10) She’s drunk dialing you

She’s looking into your eyes because she’s interested in you and she’s confident about it, which is awesome. If she laughs when you talk, especially at your cheesy jokes, then she likes you, no doubt. Blame a lot of it on science, but girls are much more likely to laugh at everything you say when they feel relaxed, comfortable, or infatuated by a guy.

So why can’t you just ask? Well, she might not know yet; it’s possible that all she knows is that she’s not not interested in you.
